Book Reading Club

The University launched the Book Reading Club with the focused objectives:

  • to provide a platform for the students & faculty to organise book-review and book-reading sessions on the latest publications and relevant books
  • to share, debate and question multidisciplinary perspectives of a text
  • to stimulate intellectual growth
  • to reinforce the reading habit
  • to present case-studies
  • to share the new researches
  • to develop inter-disciplinary reading environment
  • to narrate the real-life experiences

Since its inception, Book Reading Club of the University has organised many a book-reading sessions inviting initiators and discussants from different disciplines and from amongst the faculty as well as the students. The books read, reviewed and discussed in different sessions include the following:

  • Beautiful Country: Stories from another India by Saida Hameed and Gunjan Veda (Oct. 11, 2012);
